When Dirk Verbeuren from “Megadeth” and Sylvain Demercastel decided to re-unite in a reforestation and preservation project, it had to keep one foot in their metal historical roots ! The idea to use Dirk’s network to find a partner that could build a guitar from Costa Rican wood, provided by Sylvain’s contacts was the first step.
Then Came the opportunity to have some famous artists playing the guitar, and adding value to it. Of course an auction could have been easy to organize but it seemed more faire to everyone to have a chance to win through a raffle…
